GEN3 is an unapologetic rock band. The members write and produce modern vintage rock music. Though grounded by a guitar-forward sound, the band is equally driven by modern synth sounds. The band formed during the pandemic and immediately sold out its first three shows. In 2023, GEN3 released its first album, Not Coming Home, featuring nine new songs and currently available on all streaming services. In October of 2025, the band released its second album, Bad Light, including ten new productions, and featuring new bandmember and lead singer Scott Foster Harris, formerly the lead vocalist for LA Guns. GEN3 is driven by veteran musicians, David Cremin and Jason Mendelson (a.k.a. Jace Allen), who collaborate on writing and producing all of GEN3’s songs and recordings. Guitarist Cremin channels some of the world’s greatest guitar heroes to create powerful riffs and changes, while bassist and drummer Mendelson gives GEN3 its modern sound and groove. GEN3 is performing live on the evening of October 18, 2025 at the Boulder Theater, as part of the inaugural Roots Music Festival, alongside other greats including Yonder Mountain String Band, North Mississippi Allstars and Andy Frasco.
