Trouble’s Braids is a musical duo from Boulder, Colorado that creates dynamic folk music with teeth. They combine poignant lyricism, rich female and male harmonies, and great hooks with an unflinching curiosity about the dark and hidden corners of the human experience, all with a wink and a nod that invites the audience to come play. Their influences are broad and deep, drawing inspiration from classic songwriters like Bob Dylan, John Prine, and Lucinda Williams, as well as more contemporary acts like Big Thief, Mitski, The Decemberists, Neutral Milk Hotel, The Mountain Goats, PJ Harvey, Tom Waits and Nick Cave.
